Brian grew up in Ringwood and had 3 Brothers: Robert, Derek, Barry and 2 Sisters: June and
Shirley.

His Father, Charles, was related to the Whitcher Brothers who were Wood-cutters in the New Forest.
Charlie set up his own business chopping wood to sell firewood to the locals. As Brian grew up he
also helped his Dad.

When he was 18 years old he went into the Army. Whilst he was serving in the Army he met Ethel
Denny in Pontefract, West Yorkshire. Then a few years later Brian left the Army, married Ethel and
they made their home in Ringwood where he became a Foundery Worker for Wellworthys. They had 3 Sons:
Brian, Peter and Andrew and 3 Daughters: Christine, Shirley and Sheila.

As Grandparents they had 19 Grandchildren: Matthew, Cheryl, Catherine, Martin, Emma(who died at the
age of 2 from cancer of the liver), Rachel, Jamie, Dean, Ian, Alex, Rebecca, Kelly-Marie, Holly,
Michael, Nathan and Scott, (he died before), Mia, Courtney and Joshua were born. He adored his kids
and Grandkids and he spoilt them all. When he could he'd take them all Camping or Caravaning which
many of us still remember fondly.

He worked night-shift at Wellworthy's for 25 years and was presented with an engraved watch. He
left there due to having heart problems.

Brian and Ethel brought a house and moved to Rotherham in South Yorkshire on the 7th of July 1992.
He had suffered with his heart for many years. One day he went out to the Launderette in Thurnscoe
as he had always done and suffered a major Hear Attack from which he died straight away.

Brian was a very kind, caring, gentle person and a man of so few words unless he was angry lol ;)

He is still loved and missed by all who knew him.

Uncle Billy

Hiya Dad, I hope Uncle Billy is with you. He died on the 16th February and his funeral is on the 2nd of March. It's going to be difficult for me as I didn't know him, think I only met him the once when we went to the club that Auntie Hannah works at but Pete says different so I don't know.
I feel very strongly for our family who his death has hit hard. Our Pete told Valerie and she was very shocked and upset. She flew over a few days later. Please let those who are in morning know your there for them.
Thanks Dad, we love you and miss you as always xxxxxxx

Few people come into our lives
and make everything shine,
but you're one of those
rare and splendid jewels
who makes the whole world bright.
When I was sad, you made me smile.
When I was alone and blue,
you were there for me,
and you made me feel strong enough
to accomplish anything.
Because I appreciate
the many things you do,
more than words could say,
I'm sending you the Candle of Love,
and hoping you receive
many blessings from above.

to someone who has touched your life,
and keep the flame of love burning bright.
